Ecotourism
If you would like to join the ranger team to track our red colobus monkeys deep in the forest or spend time in our local communities to experience Gambian culture and traditions, we welcome you at C4RC. ​

We are happy to accommodate tourists on short visits from the Gambian coast as well as larger student groups and volunteers who seek a more authentic experience and would like to contribute to project activities for a longer period.

We can tailor your visit to match those aspects of C4RC which you are most interested in from a variety of ranger led activities including primate monitoring and research, environmental education in schools, outreach with local women’s groups and the propagation of native trees at the nursery. All the fees generated through ecotourism are shared equally amongst the local communities to reduce their dependence on logging and charcoal production and to secure a brighter future for endangered primates and their forest habitats.
